2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJust back from overseas.. and let me tell you.. there is some scary stuff out there
Not only here in the United States with Trump.. there is a movement being stoked by Russia.. of fear of the other.. it is like something you would have read about prior to WW2.. people are going fruit loopy world wide..and it makes no sense..
If a person was to say the conflict in the Middle East.. they would be off by a 1000 years.. that is basically what has been happening in places like England.. they have literally been at war with the middle east for a thousand years.. from the crusades (there were 8 of them folks) forward.. just as an example
Nope ..people are just tuned into 125 characters or less and not giving any position a wit of thought..
So having said all this..my advice to our candidate Secretary Clinton.. is do not try and play to any group.. you can't win that way.. but be consistent and forthright.. and people will either support you or not.. but no group can be coaxed, because everyone is mad as a hatter..
If anyone in their right mind could support a loon like Stein.. there is no reaching them, because they have locked onto a philosophy that will not let anyone in..

There's no place for that to end. There will always be "others".
Gross.

(413 posts)Dr. Jill Stein is a brilliant lady and would make a great President but we MUST get behind Hillary. If Stein wants to be a serious candidate she needs to convince us in our primary first because supporting any Party besides the Democratic Party is STUPID.
While I wish Bernie would campaign harder for Hillary at least he got behind the team after he lost the primary. The only way I could have seen us losing to Trump would have been if Bernie went 3rd Party.

(5,049 posts)Run for local, state, and congressional offices. A "one and done" moonshot at the Presidency won't and can't work. Even if by fluke they ended up in the White House, how are they going to get anything done in DC? Imagine a Jill Stein trying to convince a congress split about 50/50 republicans and Democrats to follow her agenda... It's not going to work.

(21,161 posts)I get emails from environmental and progressive groups. I have never gotten a Jill stein email. Who is paying for those expensive ads on tv? No she is being funded by someone who is against Hillary. I don't trust her one bit.
