Donald Trump Scorns TV Networks. For Once, They Return the Favor.

By MICHAEL M. GRYNBAUM at the NY Times

"SNIP..............

Mr. Trump, citing a Gallup poll showing eroding public confidence in the media, bragged that he had helped fracture that trust. He criticized CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who will help moderate a presidential debate, and attacked a reporter from Cosmopolitan magazine who asked questions that his daughter Ivanka found uncomfortable.

On Thursday, Mr. Trump began a rally in New Hampshire before the arrival of the journalists who travel with him, and then he took delight in the fact that they had missed much of his appearance.

Once a fixture of political talk shows who relished jousting with the news media, Mr. Trump has turned more cautious: He has not held a news conference since July 27. This week, he instead sat for chummy interviews with the daytime host Dr. Mehmet Oz and the “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, whose playful mussing of the candidate’s famed combover was widely circulated in photos and videos on the internet.

Mr. Trump also remains a significant ratings draw at a moment of challenges for the television news industry, which is struggling to retain viewers against digital competition like Facebook.

Stop following him,and stop treating him like he's a serious candidate. Cause he's not.

the plane after he was told Hillary had them traveling with her.

Falling in line with a tradition followed by previous nominees of both parties, Hillary Clinton will begin allowing her traveling press corps onto her official campaign airplane, allowing for greater access to a candidate who has been criticized for ducking reporters' questions.

To this point, the traveling press corps has been confined to chartered planes that shadow the candidates. Clinton has used a small private jet to ferry her and her traveling campaign staff between events. Donald Trump continues to use his own private 747 to crisscross the country and members of the press are generally not allowed to travel on it.
