Never met but never liked dopey Robert Gates. Look at the mess the U.S. is in. Always speaks badly of his many bosses, including Obama.

Frankly it was the first smart move that Bush made (replacing Rumsfeld with Gates) in the cluster f.ck that he and his neoconservative cabal got us into.

I think it was also a very wise decision by President Obama to ask Gates to stay on.
