His press conference yesterday was a forced error.

He tried to punk the news media: He hinted that he would make a major pronouncement about the "Birther" story but he was an hour late, probably to build the suspense. When he arrived, he talked about his new hotel. Then the armed services veterans spoke and then... FINALLY... he said that he accepts that President Obama was born in the United States. Period.

And then he walked off without taking any questions from the reporters he invited for a press conference.

hurt him at all. Believers know it's all a big wink-wink to get elected and he's still with him, others who want to be believers are assisted to ignore unpleasant truth.

The question isn't whether the MSM are corrupted but just how and why. Whether 25 years of a biased culture and warped standards centered on the Clintons specifically have converged into a perfect storm in this election or whether secret manipulation is also involved. And now we’re seeing the postscript to that sad tradition: News outlets which then refuse to admit they botched their Clinton ‘scandal’ stories. For years, The New York Times has refused to acknowledge its rampantly misleading Whitewater coverage from the 1990s, as well as its overall breathless pursuit of Clinton ‘scandal’ stories back then.

Meanwhile, when CBS’ Lara Logan reported a botched Benghazi investigation on 60 Minutes, featuring a bogus “eyewitness” to the terror attack, the network never released a full explanation for how such an obviously flawed report was ever allowed to air. Instead, the network ordered a minimal internal review, released a two-page summary and Logan and a producer took a leave of absence from the program.

By contrast, when CBS faced conservative outrage after airing a flawed report about President Bush's Vietnam War record in 2004, the network appointed former Republican attorney general Richard Thornburgh, to investigate. Thornburgh’s review panel worked for three months, interviewed 66 people, and issued an-often scathing 224-page report. ...

These are only really major examples, of course. We see dozens in daily practice if we look for them. AP blanketed America with a bogus election map in August but didn't excite the anger of the Foundation coverage because it included a more realistic, if canted, map in the article. A piece on the Trump kids was withdrawn, though, because it was...astonishingly flattering. This IS the AP, after all...

8. Will never forget the CBS

debacle of Dan Rather and Bush's fake National Guard Duty. So many honest people were destroyed by the Bush Family as a result. When a personal Golfing Partner is charged with white washing of Rather,and it went to the top dog Redstone,well that pretty much did it for many in this Country.

Many of us remember how the wealthy used their money and influence to keep their baby out of the draft and the new coined phrase,cannon fodder.

9. To this day that fake "service" and how it dishonored

the real service of those who assigned to tend W and the rest of those allowed to play and build their resumes in the National Guard makes me angry. Because I dropped out of high school to work full time long before the internet age, I lost track of those in high school with me who honorably served, but I have also always been angry for them.

I thought enough conservatives would be offended by that, including his just going awol, and much else that violated their vaunted values, that he wouldn't be elected. Values were dumped. We have yet to find out how low they'll sink to avoid losing all that is good to the devil Democrats. Mass delusion.

My commitment to equality seems to be...gut deep, party irrelevant. In grade school already I disliked the "royal family" and "Camelot" fantasies about the Kennedys. (Strangely, these days one of my young step relatives is a Kennedy, not that it does her any good. So...good, sort of? Truthfully, I wish it did. )

Btw, cannon fodder is actually a very old term. Before cannons there were undoubtedly others. The crossbow was banned a thousand or so years ago. No doubt for a number of reasons, but one supposedly was that it was too equalizing, allowing people of low birth to take down the Ws of those days, which I suspect was very likely true. Don't you love at least knowing MOOCs are available? Though as a lover of historic fiction I knew the cannon fodder and crossbow things before the one I took on war.

influences on the basic genetic personality dispositions people are born with this time around.

I've been listening to young people on the TV talking about their inability to trust Hillary. Some of these kids are probably naturally liberal, but between adults talking about her various crimes all through their childhoods and the other primary candidate claiming that she stole this nomination...for them adverse conditioning pushing them away from the liberal candidate and liberal, progressive programs is winning. 3. Between the people at his campaign, family, and dipshit

He appears to be weak minded. One person will tell him to do this, another something else, and he just wants to run the scam to get other peoples money. No direction in his campaign just run with it. Kind of matches his mental state. If the media can keep up and stick the surrogates to actually answering questions the confusion will die down and maybe they can show what kind of person he is.
