If You Tell A Lie Long Enough...
This is why the media and print journalism is largely responsible for such things as 70% of Republicans believing that Obama is not a US citizen or they don't know. I understand that most already know this, but it must be repeated and the media must be held accountable.
If the lies that Trump was spewing were only stated a few times, then that would be one thing. It is the fact that they were repeated over and over and over again without anyone in the media calling him on it. It seems almost unbelievable that that many people would actually believe that President Obama is not an American. This can only happen when the lie is told over and over again without any form of accountability. The press is there as a safeguard and they have not been doing their job. Now that they were snookered, they are crying foul. Well, it is too little too late. If Trump ends up in the Oval Office, the media will be largely responsible.
We should let the media know just how pissed off we are concerning the fact that they did not do their job.
