2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTrump is going on Twitter rants right now
CNN, Maureen Dowd, Robert Gates, etc. Obviously not going to link it, but it is on his Twitter.
I would say he is still extremely unhappy about yesterday's coverage.
From his Twitter, no links:
.@CNN just doesn't get it, and that's why their ratings are so low - and getting worse. Boring anti-Trump panelists, mostly losers in life!
I never met former Defense Secretary Robert Gates. He knows nothing about me. But look at the results under his guidance - a total disaster!
Crazy Maureen Dowd, the wacky columnist for the failing @nytimes, pretends she knows me well--wrong!
Wacky @NYTimesDowd, who hardly knows me, makes up things that I never said for her boring interviews and column. A neurotic dope!

(5,255 posts)And your analysis of Dowd is spot on. She's a female media member who just seems to be, for whatever incomprehensible reason, insanely jealous of Hillary Clinton. See also Mrs. Greenspan.

I had to look up what the heck she did to set him off. The last time she wrote a column in the NYT was on August 27th so that wasn't it. All her tweets were of her various appearances hawking her book so since he was whining about CNN, I checked that appearance out (from the above link).
And given her penchant for false equivalencies, apparently her book is entirely that.... meaning that he isn't glorified in the manner that he would want.

(129,009 posts)But she's as egotistical as he is. Should be interesting this election season watching her try to one-up him to get attention and book sales.

(865 posts)This morning in interview, M Dowd was quoted as saying Trump told her that violence at rallies added excitement. Also, a former assistant to Dowd, Alex Thompson (now at Vice News), was arrested outside trump rally (while awaiting feedback on his press access request) in Houston early afternoon today. Don't know for a fact that the latter is related, but timing is interesting, at least.

(51 posts)Trump hates criticism and the appearance of criticism. He hates it and he becomes irrational. He's too vain to contain himself. If the media has taken a turn and is now less naive, Trump will go mad. And he needs to go mad NOW rather than later.
