2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI am so tired of Satan's candidate. Let's hear some good stuff about our candidate, Hillary Clinton!
I continue to be amazed by her tenacity, her grasp of the issues and her ability to emphasize with with the poor and middle class. I truly believe she will be a transformative president, especially if we can give her a congress.
How she has withstood the constant press bombardment is a true sign of strength.

(520 posts)A man with his character, deserved and earned through his life-long commitments, the right of being the first African American President of this Great Country!
He served his office with dignity, kindness and respect for all of us, even for the many who never deserved his kindness.
Hillary has earned the right to be the first woman to be called Madame President.
She has stood strong in her beliefs. Never stopped working to advance the rights of those who couldn't fight for themselves.
Because of her actions in both good and bad times, Hillary has earned my vote, something I don't give without much consideration and thought.
The one thing Obama and Hillary have in common is their love for children. You can tell a persons heart on that one trait, alone.
With these beliefs in my heart, this old white veteran has proudly voted twice and beat the streets for Barack.
It is with pride I will be doing the same for Hillary. They both exemplify what is best about America.
Through their actions, they have proven, "Love trumps Hate."

(70,111 posts)unless you saw her on her book tour. or read the book, i assume which i only didnt because the type is just too tiny, even in the hard back.
anyway. chicago was the first stop, and she was interviewed by her old buddy rahm. they were quite funny.
anyway, really, she talked about the foundation and a project she was involved in, iirc.
after serious research into language acquisition, and the racial and economic components, teasing them apart, they found that singing to babies, in and out of utero, grows language circuits in the brain, and leads to better verbal abilities.
now how much does this cost? a little money for some education, encouragement, and oh, maybe some books.
and boom. smarter kids.

(1,907 posts)I love it when she smiles. She has a warm and beautiful smile. I love it when she is around children. You can see in her eyes she enjoys being around them. Unlike the one who will remain unnamed. I actually like when she talks about substance policies. That is the inner nerd in me wanting to know what she represents.
