Elderly Woman Attacked At Trump Rally

This from Facebook's Asheville Politics page. I admit I can't find it elsewhere but if you Google "Trump Rally Turns Violent" you get the most INCREDIBLE list of stories you can imagine.

Trump rally turns violent for elderly female.

“I can run this country better than Trump!”

A tough, near 70 year old Shirly Teeter of Asheville, NC, shouts with a bloody arm after she took a sucker punch to the jaw and was forced to the ground by a Trump supporter at the rally in Asheville this Monday. She was treated on sight by local EMS for a wound to her left arm, but was left shaken, battered, and pissed. With an oxygen tank and fierce attitude, Shirly was at the Rally to protest Donald Trump, and when the crowd let out, a resident of Edisto Isalnd, SC, struck Shirly in the face and knocked her to the ground in front of several witnesses. Bystanders report hearing her head hit the ground and were thankful her oxygen tank did not explode. An APD officer came to her side as other officers escorted the perpetrator to the side.

Several minutes passed before an EMS technical was able to escort Shirly to a side area where he treated and bandaged her arm. The suspect was held without hand cuffs near an APD patrol car where his information was collected. An officer delivered the perpetrators information to Shirly and said an arrest was not going to be made.

“Well go arrest that son of a bitch!”

Another outcry from Shirly at her disappointment to the news an arrest for her battery would not be made. The perpetrator was let go and Shirly is left with psychical and emotional scars. Instead of taking a police report, Shirly without family or transportation, was advised to visit the magistrate’s office.

The Citizen-Times spoke by phone with a third person who said he witnessed the event. William Fiesser said he drove up from Charlotte to protest the rally. Fiesser was there when rally attendees were funneling out with protesters on either side, he said.

He said he saw a situation between protesters and supporters that was escalating and he tried to stop it.
http://www.citizen-times.com/story/news/local/2016/09/12/video-asheville-trump-rally-violence-reports-more/90289498/

It involved a man he described as age 60-65 with white hair and in "decent shape" and a woman protester he said looked "elderly" and "frail."

"I tried to get in between and intervene. The next thing I knew she tapped him on the arm and he turned around and absolutely decked her," Fiesser said.

"I don't know if the blow was premeditated or reflexive or what."

The woman fell to the ground immediately, he said.

At least two other people posted on Facebook that they saw the incident. Those and other posts show a picture of a woman on the lying on the ground and later sitting with a bloody elbow and what appear to be oxygen tubes in her nose.

Deplorable spit poke or something bad enough but deck her to the ground?

"I don't know if the blow was premeditated or reflexive or what." said William Fiesser to the media.

the "or what" could be the man turned around and hit her by accident, that may be what he told the police.

By touching him, she prpvocated, according to the law. Sicks like crazy, but I have been arrested for touching an opposition protestors at a gun nut rally. Nothing came of it, but I spent some ugly hours all the same.

She should not have contacted him physically. Yeah guy is a scaredy pants but the contact was provocation be she a he, old or new.

Gotta remember, the media and The Rump has worked these maniacs into a cauldron of hatred and paranoia and they are afraid of everything. Us against them.

What law, specifically? The components of her physical contact did not meet the requirements of battery or assault (both tort and crime), as a person who walks in a crowded area impliedly consents to a degree of contact that is inevitable and reasonable.

It's certainly not Assault, as that requires intent to harm someone; and Battery requires three standards, of which, only two were met: intentional touching (she did); the touching must be harmful or offensive (it was not); and no consent from the victim (there was none).

The corporate MSM would be running specials about their compassion, but where are the specials about "Trump Rallies: Open Season On Protestors". As I wrote in an OP the other day, a Trump Rally is known to these deplorables as sanctioned Violence without repercussions! As long as they don't kill the person, they seem to be getting away with assault and battery.

69-year-old woman punched in face outside rally by Trump supporter

WLOS — ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Police say they arrested five people at Trump's Monday night rally in Asheville, and as of publishing have warrants out for two more people. Police plan to arrest Richard Campbell of Edisto Island, South Carolina for assault on a female.

That female is 69-year-old Shirley Teeter.

She has protested her whole life. Now she adds Trump to the list of things she's protested against.

"Why did I get involved yesterday at my age? Because I ran into another situation that was sickening my heart," she said Tuesday afternoon outside Cafe 64 in downtown Asheville.

49. Assailant was a 73-year-old blind man who says she fell when he tried to pull away from her

Sep 2016

Snopes.com says the assailant was 73 years old, blinded or near blind with cataracts, and that he claims she fell when he tried to pull away from her.

http://www.snopes.com/2016/09/14/police-issue-warrant-for-73-year-old-accused-of-punching-elderly-woman-at-trump-rally/

"Ruth Smith, a civil attorney representing Campbell, said her client has cataracts and was being lead away from the rally through a gauntlet of screaming protesters in an effort to go home. Smith said Campbell did not punch Teter but rather "reflexively moved his arm to release himself from Ms. Teeter’s grip, causing her to fall."

Smith claims that Campbell never even saw the victim, saying that "We’re looking forward to the court date and having the truth come out. We think her story will fall apart like wet toilet paper."

Asheville police spokeswoman Christina Hallingse told us that none of the city's officers witnessed the incident, and after taking Teter's statement they gave her a lift home. Hallingse added that Campbell would probably be issued a notice to appear in court, as opposed to being taken into custody. "
