Non-Partisan People Are Really Disgusted With The Media

We're a pretty liberal state here in California, but I happen to live in OC, a traditional bastion of Republicanism.

I've been talking to lots of people who I know are lukewarm when it comes to their politics, the "pox on both their houses" types. What I am hearing from them is absolute disgust with the media. To a person, they think the media is wrongfully bashing Hillary and giving Trump a pass. They think Trump is a racist, and they are worried that the media seems hell bent on getting him elected. And the latest "health scare" crap about Hillary has them rethinking their belief that "where there's smoke, there's fire" when it comes to all of the usual attacks on Hillary's character.

They all say Hillary will make an OK president, even if they have problems with her (of course, the problems they cite are the usual RW media-created memes). I'd say about half don't seem enthusiastic about voting. They'll probably stay home. But that's better than voting for Trump.

I know this is all anecdotal. Be that as it may, it says to me that not only is the pro-Trump media narrative falling on deaf ears, but those ears are wise to the media's bias and are no longer buying it. Significantly, they are writing off the media as a source for accurate and balanced reporting.

When it's all said and done, the biggest loser this November may well be the media.

disgusted with the way Hillary is being treated. But I'd be happy to hear that men are just as annoyed.

with Trump are more apparent with the women I've talked to, and that probably makes them more aware of the media acting as an enabler.

He had heard all the rightwing crap for years. But after reading about how she helped kids right out of college and other things she has done...he is now very enthusiastic...loves her in fact. She is a good person, and if you take the time to investigate, you will like Hillary (not you, others; damn I can't get this right I know you like her!) My contractor was here this morning...getting the tongs out of the dryer. I was attempting to remove lint and dropped the damn things inside the dryers...hubs ordered me (how dare he haha) not to touch it again. But I digress. Scott used to be a GOP but after a year of fixing up my house is now a Democrat...Trump helped. He hates Trump. And he really likes Hillary. This morning he said anyone who could stand for three hours in the sun with pneumonia was an iron woman, and he is sick of the press bashing her...I don't think the press is effective in trying to pump up the orange bigot...thankfully.

When I married him he was GOP ...I didn't even date Republicans! However, by the time I found out, I was in love. We married six months after we met...the first Dem he voted for was Bill Clinton...but he has been a big dem supporter for years. He liked Bernie better than Hillary during the primary. But now he has come to admire her immensely as most who look at her life and accomplishments do. Scott is my contractor...he is not very political and voted more out of habit for the GOP...but he is a veteran and when I told him the GOP wants to privatize the Vet...that was it. He is now a Democrat and has checked out the GOP by actually reading their platform and now hates them...yay! A vote for Hillary in the swing state of Ohio.

Hillary; not voting for her amounts to voting for Trump.

Turnout will win this election, and I have little patience for people who claim that HRC is so horrible of an option that they simply can't be bothered with voting. This IS a vote for the other side whether they realize it or not.

has reached a breaking point this cycle. A lot of factors for this, but the bottom line is the best outlets are under-funded and there's too much competition and so a lot of stupid stuff gets reported, and there is a the corporate slant of the big outlets, and of course Hillary has long been a favorite punching bag for them.

It has been non-stop fawning coverage of the racist piece of shit Trump and attacks on Hillary. I think the media like that ass Assange (Russian puppet) are showing their true colors and have damaged their credibility.

I used to listen to radio but no except for Sirius, you have all rightie shit and it is impossible to watch cable these days...really ruining the election for me...we seriously should start a progressive boycott of all cable channels.
