2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumOn Al Sharpton's show just now,
according to a Suffolk University/USA Today poll, taken August 24-28, 50% trust Hillary Clinton on National Security, while only 37% trust Trump.
Do any of you remember this poll result being released shortly after it was completed? I did a search, and can't find anything about it.

The numbers quoted are on page 5 of 7, #29 at the following link:

I didn't find a lot of stories reporting the poll; but that was just a quick google.

(5,179 posts)I sometimes suck at searches. I was looking for 'national security', and I notice it wasn't even mentioned in the press release.
So it's been out ten days, has Clinton leading Trump in a very important metric, and got virtually no mention. I wonder why?

(13,260 posts)I noticed that, too; that it wasn't mentioned in the press release or in the media.
I don't actually wonder why the press doesn't do their job. As far as I'm concerned our "Fourth Estate" has become a "Fifth Column" catapulting misinformation using rumor and innuendo, character assassination, and selective reporting of carefully spun "facts" as "fair and balanced" news reporting.
For your information, in case it helps in the future, I googled the poll name and date rather than the topic. That took me directly to the source where I could find their list of polls. Polls frequently have a lot of information that is not reported; except for the polls that don't post or reveal their methods, metrics, etc.
