3. She didn't. She has used the same analogy in the past, but said that

you could divide Trump supporters into two groups...not mentioning any percentages. No one seemed to disagree or mind that characterization. It was using the term "half" that made people take notice, even though it is probably correct, it's smart of her to try and leave it more vague.

The amazing thing is that Trump says 20 much more outrageous things every day...and the press is paying attention to this??!!!

She should say IMO -" . . . of course I don't know whether half of his supporters have deplorable views. Maybe it's more like 70% or maybe it's only 40%.
