Trying to amass a list of things Trump has suggested that would/could be
unlawful/a war crime?
1. Shooting a person out of the water for a gesture (Murder?)
2. Taking Iraq's oil (US and International law, Geneva Convention)
3. Killing the families of terrorists?
4. Extreme interrogation
5. Deporting children born to illegals in the US
6. Prosecuting women who get abortions.
[font color=blue]7. Inciting a foreign government to interfere with a US election.
8. Requesting someone murder his opponent (and her Supreme Court appointees)
9. Inciting followers to break the law and attack protesters
Any more?

(42,770 posts)In plain English, the constitution protects Trump when he spews hatred. It doesnt necessarily protect him when he encourages his supporters to attack protesters. It comes down to intent and if his comments can result in imminent harm. Trumps assurances that he would pay the legal fees, at minimum, prove he knew he was instructing his followers to break the law or at least that his rhetoric was likely to produce such actions. The problem is the law distinguishes between knowing something will happen and intending to make that thing happen.
