1. They rated an A- for the 2016 primary cycle.

However, they did show an average error of 1.9% and a Republican bias of 0.6% in 2012.

She needs to start talking about jobs and ditch every thing else. Down 15 on the economy in this poll. Even if it does skew to the republican side. I am starting to get a sinking feeling. Donald Trump does not know anything about our economy. The Republicans have not had a president that created jobs since f'ing Ronald Reagan. My god man Americans are stupid.

4. Why should shoddy polling with horrible records be taken seriously though? What does 538 have em at?

After the GOP convention, they had Trump with a 5 point lead, more than any other poll.

After the Democratic convention, they also had a Clinton lead that was bigger than the average poll.

So, they are probably too noisy. Also this poll was made during Labor day week-end (September 1-4, and

28% described themselves as Democrats, 32% described themselves as Republicans, and 40%
described themselves as independents or members of another party

A lot of reasons to take it with a grain of salt.

Which does not mean we should take this election for granted.

But I remember much upset about CNN/Orc's polls, which almost always proved to be very wrong. What I really worry about is what another poster mentioned, that these bad polls give Repukes the wiggle room they need to steal elections.

From a few minutes ago on twitter. What else would he be referring to?

Most bad polling analysis stems from people's desire to take the most recent/most hyped poll as the gospel truth, instead of averaging data. Also, it's much better if pollsters are willing to publish "outliers" (or results that defy conventional wisdom) than to self-censor them.

8. The Poll Could Be A Outlier BUT....

Clinton spending the last week plus until yesterday off the campaign trail did not help. That was a poor decision on whoever part made it.

Maybe it's allergies and some severe ones at that, however, the coughing fits (there were two yesterday) of course did not factor into the latest CNN/ORC poll BUT potential voters are watching, wondering and questioning - even if its only in their mind.

Clinton needs to start talking about HER and not HIM. What is she going to do as POTUS, how will she protect or bring jobs to the states as POTUS, what policies she would try to enact in the first 30, 60, 90, 180 days as POTUS, etc, etc.

Trump will continue to be the Racist, Bigoted, Clown he is. That's not changing. However, it appears enough of the American people might be willing to sit home and that Racist, Bigoted, Clown could be the benefactor.

Thus, Clinton must shift her message NOW, THIS MINUTE, and KEEP DOING IT until election day -- squarely on motivating people to the polls by embarking a INSPIRING MESSAGE with Facts and POLICY POSITIONS.

Michigan, this state, is in a DEAD HEAT. Crazy enough, the Race, Bigoted, Clown is leading in Ohio. Clinton cannot lose both Michigan and Ohio. Folks need to wake up and realize this race, HAS GOT REAL.

Also, no more days of whatever, disappearing from the Campaign Trail. Period. This cannot be done again period....until after a win on November 8!!!

Did you watch it? The media barely covered it.

She also released a major mental health initiative, but they barely covered that, either.

+ media has been really working hard to make this a horserace. It'll all even out in the end, I don't think the media want a revolution, because they'd be the 1st to be taken out.

true, but she's not a "dangerous-to-the-USA" candidate. She doesn't mention that though.
