Donald Trump – Damage Already Done

If you are like me you shudder when you think of the damage Donald Trump could do if he were to be elected President of the United States. But, let's take a different point of view - that of people in other countries.

What must they think of our country when when a sizeable portion of our population has made a narcissistic egotist with an attention deficit problem the Presidential nominee of one of our two major political parties?

What must they think of our country when after all of his stunts he still has the support of over 40% of our population?

What would they think of our country if somehow this egomaniac becomes President of the United States?

Well, whatever they would think of us, they would be right.

If someone like Trump were become president or prime minister of a European country, people in Europe would be worried that he would evolve into the second coming of Hitler.

by running such an Ugly American for President. The rest of the world has long known the USA is the place to be a self-centered egotistical slob consuming vast resources to inflate one's self importance just to please oneself. They see Made in USA culture in media all the time. Trump the billionaire epitomizes the USA other countries see, an imperialist asshole.

First of all, if anyone in this country wasn't aware that a sizable portion of our population is a bunch of red necks who are secretly or not so secretly xenophobic and prejudice, he or she has been living under a rock. So Trumps thus far successful candidacy should not surprise us in the least.

And while the views of our country you attribute to the rest of the world are probably accurate for South American socialists, I don't think that they are as wide spread as you indicate. Foreign nationals I know admire our values, and while they sometimes think we should do a better job of living up to them, I have always sensed good feeling towards our country. They also understand that they also have xenophobic and prejudice red necks in their countries, though they refer to them using other terms.
