2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumFormer Ron Paul Aide: Boycott Democrats
Of all the sore loser ideas I have seen, this has to take the cake:
Former Ron Paul aide Eric Dondero says the only recourse to President Obama's re-election is "outright revolt" and is launching a "personal boycott" of Democrats.
He writes: "All family and friends, even close family and friends, who I know to be Democrats are hereby dead to me. I vow never to speak to them again for the rest of my life, or have any communications with them. They are in short, the enemies of liberty. They deserve nothing less than hatred and utter contempt."

As angry and bitter as I was in 2004, I never thought about refusing to speak to my Republican friends. That is just juvenile.

(15,189 posts)Who thinks they are too good for others. Hey buddy, bring it on. Why would any smart Dem want to talk to assholes like you anyway. I would go along with my Repuke brother if he said the same to me. I used to have respect for him, but now he's a Faux nut so I just assume he gets his talk from them.

(2,566 posts)He couldn't stand Romney and was happy he got his ass handed to him. Not an endorsement of Obama but NOT a fan of Romney. He gleefuly rubbed it in to our Teabagger coworkers who supported Romney the day after the election.

(374 posts)I'm not a Ron Paul fan, but many of the people involved with his candidacy were just trying to talk some sense into the republican party. I have friends who were big Paul supporters who voted Obama. Of course there were a lot of loons too, nature of the fringe candidate beast.
