(889 posts)The cooking of the results, not to boost trump, but to boost the horse race narrative. Did anyone believe the MSM was going to allow this to be a blow out all the way through?
My guess is the early numbers for August advertising/ratings numbers are coming in and they are not good at the Big 3 cable networks and their broadcast counterparts.
Gotta have that horse race narrative in place to make that money.
Gotta have that money.

(170 posts)It fluctuates. 4 points is much better than any obama poll at this time. It's good for us in sense because it will maybe bring a few johnson and stein voters to our side.

(1,417 posts)Leading him by 6 in the H2H Not bad But we must remain alert and vigilant What if trump were ahead by 6 or 4 ? I think the debates will be somewhat important this year As long as we hold our own or better we will be fine GOTV

(13,190 posts)How is this idiot getting 11% in this poll but in the latest PPP poll he is only at 6%http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2016/08/clinton-national-lead-steady.html

(1,290 posts)I don't get it, but he pulls in some people who would otherwise vote Democrat. That might offset the Republicans who can't stomach Trump and keep this election from being a huge margin.
Fortunately Hillary leads in just about every poll I've seen. The spoiler candidates really just make the difference between a small margin and a big margin, and honestly I expect them to get fewer votes than their poll numbers suggest once people get in the voting booth and truly have to decide who to vote for. Half the Johnson voters will be too stoned to even register anyway.

(1,417 posts)Gets a lot of my R friends who can't stand trump but really hate Hillary too are def voting for him My one friend who is a Very conservative Dem who voted for Bill twice and I think Obama once was a string trump supporter but dropped trump and went to Hillary after the convention but now says he is def with Johnson If that helps any Johnson pulls the more conservatives

(6,977 posts)I'm not that into polling right about now (Will be mid-September), but really not into on line polling like SurveyMonkey, even when Hillary had a healthier lead over tRump.
Anyway ....
As long as the Electoral College numbers hold, I'm fine. Secondly, as many of us KNOW the so-called "Liberal Media" wants the race between tRump and Hillary to come down to being a horse race.

It's Clinton +6-8 and will stay that way until the first debate.
