Sen. Patty Murray (D. Wa.) 2016?

Women voters are a slightly larger demographic then male voters and they overwhelmingly vote against the Republican meme on women's issues. If the Republicans hold true to form, they will run further ro the right on all issues and once again back the anti-abortionist agenda. This single issue will sink Republicans with women voters.

We just watched one of our women Senators pull off what most thought impossible. Patty Murray of Washington State as Chief Strategist for the Senate Democrats, not only held the line, she increased our seats in the Senate.

Just throwing it out there but might we consider the 'Senator in tennis shoes', Patty Murray as a viable candidate for POTUS in 2016.

She's been consistent in her voting record and is very responsive to her constituents.

(Unlike our other Senator, Maria Cantwell. Who has a good, but somewhat inconsistent voting record and always answers her constituents with aggravating form-letters & form-emails.)

Amy regularly wins by roughly 98% of the vote. She's super appealing to a wide range. She's way better than the narrowly appealing Patty. She would sweep up tons of Repub women.

In the U.S. Senate contest, Republican Kurt Bills has gained a little ground after winning the nomination almost a month ago, but massively popular incumbent Democrat Amy Klobuchar still holds a huge advantage heading into November. Klobuchar leads Bills, 55-36. It was 55-29 in the previous survey.

6. My reason for this post:

This election has been a tremendous victory for women. Women were the largest voting demographic, women made tremendous inroads in Congress and women's issues, specifically the abortion issue was key in how women voted.

The upcoming two years our women in congress are going to be key to growing the Democratic Party and it's positions when the Republicans double down on their extremist position regparding women's issues.

Thirty percent of American women still support 'Right to Life' Sixty percent support a woman's 'Right to Choose'. That single demographic is too large to ignore and even though future Republican politicians and wannabees may skirt the issue we Dems will keep that boat anchor firmly tied to them and their party.

Moving forward I predict there will be even more women added to the Democratic Party and they will achieve their goals by using women's issues both subtly and overtly in their campaigns .

By the next Presidential cycle we Dems will have at least one or more women to consider. I predict that the next President will be a woman and she will be a Democrat.

This I look forward to. The time for a woman at the controls of the greatest military ever is long over due. I am suggesting Patty Murray because she has more than proven herself over the years in both Washingtons. She may find herself swept up into all of this regardless of her own personal aspirations.

Then there is her most recent and I might add astonishing accomplishment where she as head strategist for the Dems increased our Senate membership. She took that job knowing that the job holder was doomed to failure, SHE DID NOT FAIL!!!

My biggest reason for posting this is because I wanted my thoughts on this documented for the future and because I think Patty Murray's star is rising just at the right time. She is barely on DUs radar right now but mark my words, within three years she will be a household name around here.

Is she my favorite person to run for President in 2016? No, not even my favorite woman to run if it were up to me. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton would be my personal choices. That said I want my prediction documented here and now. I predict Senator Murray will be pushed to run and she will feature prominently in the 2016 election for President as one of our candidates. (Someone contact OPRAH).

7. I think your right, Patty Murray 2016!

Harry Reid suggested to Obama that he run for President, the conversation has been documented by Woodward and others but it goes something like this.

Obama's office gets a call that Harry Reid wants to talk, he goes over to Reid's office thinking he screwed up as a freshman Senator. Harry says that maybe the Senate is not a good fit for him, Obama looks down. Have you considered running for President? There's a lot of people around who are scared about Bill's private life, they don't want to put up the money if it could blow up in smoke. And there's a lot of elected democrats who think she'd be terrible for their race, high negatives. The stars seem to be aligning for you, handsome clean cut, charisma. You don't have the old history of the sixties and you didn't vote for the Iraq war etc.

Harry has been grooming Patty throwing her plum jobs as you listed. I could foresee the same conversation with Patty going something like this: Hi Patty sit down, the next President might very well be a woman, it's about time. Have you thought about running for President in 2016? There's a lot of people who are still afraid of Bill's escapades, her negatives are on the borderline of being unelectable. Even if you loose you'd be a great Vice Presidential candidate etc.

I live in Seattle, one thing about Patty is her sincerity. She really feels for those who need help, the wounded vets, struggling farmers, those needing housing, food and education. One area She may be a little weak is in Foreign Policy, but I may be wrong. I see so many reasons why she would be a good candidate, and only a few to think she would not. My prediction is that she will run and do very well for herself, maybe even win and be the nest President.
