Yeah it takes foreign money, its work, is done globally, thats how it works. It brings people with money to those in desperate need of it.
In a resurgent Rwanda, only 21 years past the genocide, the government of President Paul Kagame has deputized a high-profile partner for an array of endeavors across this striving, haunted land: in a banana grove in Kayonza, where subsistence farmers are learning to double their yields; in a teaching hospital in Kigali, where American and Rwandan faculty are training a generation of specialists and nurses; in a sprawling plant in Mukarange, where soybeans are being processed into the countrys first domestic cooking oil.
In each instance, the partner has been the Clinton Foundation.
As a microcosm of the foundations worldwide presence, Rwanda reveals it to be more a nonprofit global consulting firm than a traditional philanthropy, with scattered interests that reflect the darting mind of its namesake, former President Bill Clinton. Here in the hills of central Africa, perhaps as much as anywhere, it enjoys the synergy with the government that the foundation seeks wherever it goes.

(37,161 posts)...thumping every day to penetrate peoples' heads.
Cheney &Halliburton would occasionally come up in the news cycle, but then it would get dragged under in the daily churn. It would occasionally pop up again, only to once again drop out of sight of people who weren't really paying attention to it.
Republicans, on the other hand, will constantly harp on things so that they stay visible and become part of the normal background noise of peoples' lives. And people who don't follow it closely start thinking Eve's something to it because they keep hearing about it.

(56,828 posts)They just want to tarnish the name Clinton somehow and get their low information base of voters riled up to turn out in 2016 and then 2018.
If it was the Reagan Foundation that was doing the same work, Republicans would be carving Reagan's likeness into a new Mt Rushmore just because of this.

(34,661 posts)Same or similiar wording in the attacks being leveled. This is how the Rethugs took down ACORN and a hand full of week kneed Dems helped. Damn, when you get a Foundation or a charity that does 88% out the door and 12% for Administration, damn well won't see those numbers at the Red Cross or any other Social Service Agency.

(58,785 posts)Btw, for the first time a majority of married white women are choosing the Democratic over the GOP candidate.
This is, of course, a group that would appreciate the mission and the accomplishments of the Clinton Foundation.

(15,265 posts)When you have foreign governments making big donations and we are doing things like selling them 10's billions in weapons sales it raises suspicion of influence buying.

(15,805 posts)that either makes Democrats look good or is managed by Democrats. Republicans do not have any similar charities. They have no organized international effort to uplift disadvantages people. They do not care about poor people, brown people, foreign people, so they work very hard to squash those outreach efforts before comparisons are made and questions pop up.
