"SNIP...........
I mean, theres plenty of news to cover this week, but I havent seen [it] covered, he continued, pointing to the release of emails tying State Department employees to the Clinton Foundation and bad economic news.
Instead you took an aside that the Clinton narrative told you was something, Manafort charged. Mr. Trump told you he didnt mean and you played it out for two days. I mean, thats what were talking about.
As a factual matter, Tapper interrupted, on Monday, my show covered Mr. Trumps speech. Okay? We did. We covered Mr. Trumps speech. And we did cover those Hillary Clinton emails.
So, these things, the CNN host said, just because you say them, theyre not true. I mean, we have been covering the substance. We have been covering things that are bad [for] Hillary Clinton.

(4,673 posts)to hold Trump's feet to the fire. About racism.
My memory could be leaky, but around that time most reporters were tip-toeing around - Tapper questioned him directly.

(17,326 posts)but it was on Tapper's show, State of the Union, that Drumpf made an A1 fool of himself by claiming that he didn't know who David Duke was and that he'd have to research any organization, including white supremacist groups, before disavowing their support.
Then Drumpf later claimed that he had a faulty earpiece. What an ass wipe!

(4,673 posts)his interview when he asked Trump about his statements about the Indiana judge of Mexican heritage. I'm sure you remember it, but will post the excerpt anyway.
Nobody was calling it what it was to Trump's face as I recall, and Tapper stuck like glue on the racist point, and his face was one of incredulity, mirroring our own.

TRUMP: Do you know that these people went to every attorney general, practically, in the country that they could and do you know this case was turned down by almost every attorney general, from Texas to Florida to many of these states?
TAPPER: Is it not, when Hillary Clinton says this is a racist attack and you reject that, if you are saying he can't do his job because of his race, is that not the definition of racism?
TRUMP: No, I don't think so at all.
TAPPER: No?
TRUMP: No. He's proud of his heritage. I - I respect him for that.
TAPPER: But you're saying he can't do his job because of that.
TRUMP: Look, he's proud of his heritage, OK. I'm building a wall. Now, I think I'm going to do very well with Hispanics.
TAPPER: He's a legal citizen...

(17,326 posts)Trump demonstrated the "textbook definition of a racist comment" in regards to his remarks on Judge Curiel. It doesn't get much more clear cut than that!
fun n serious
(4,451 posts)He even said it was obsurd to think it was plagerized. He's a liar!

(21,086 posts)kind of people attending. Manafort neglected to mention that attempting to appeal to the same voters in diff. locale don't exactly advance the cause of securing more voters.

(989 posts)have and you have tried to twist this issue into forty shades of corruption that just isn't working and never will. We don't care about her damn e-mails or the Clinton Foundation that is doing a lot of good work.

(9,893 posts)I like Tapper. He usually calls them as he sees them.
I watched "State of the Union" today, and I thought that Manafort lashed into Tapper saying that he didn't cover any negatives about Hillary.
Tapper was upset with Manafort's accusation and said that he had covered the few downsides relating to Hillary.
Hillary is great, but no one is perfect.
I don't remember anyone talking about race on today's "State of the Union."
It was all about what stories had been covered and which ones had not.
Why are you mentioning that piece of pond scum, Duke?
Nobody said anything about that piece of pond scum on today's program.
