2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo Trump now needs a full-time babysitter on the campaign trail to keep
him from melting down. There's actually a word for it: "Trump-sitting." And this is just the campaign trail. Is he planning to have a team of babysitters next to him in the white house to stop him from starting a nuclear war?
I cannot believe that anyone thinks he's remotely qualified to to be anything.

(50,562 posts)Cheney shot Harry Whittington in the face over a decade ago and Harry Whittington is still alive and hunting quail again. If you're gonna shoot Trump you want to be sure you get the job done...a howitzer would probably do it. A guy COULD solve the problem once and for all by just giving him an enema.

(50,562 posts)Each non-Iraqi journalist operating within Iraq was accompanied by a Ministry of Information employee who the journalists called minders. They kept you out of places the government didn't want you to go, and approved every story you filed before you transmitted it.
Has the United States EVER had a candidate at any level who needed this? I can't remember one, and I remember some real jewels. IIRC not even Baby Bush had minders, and he had a mental age of about twelve.

(20,730 posts)He wouldn't "be" president because all the people who really keep the west wing going wouldn't work for him. He'd be standing in the oval office with reporters, making beligerant statements, taking photos, until the photographers went home.
Then, silence. He'd get bored in a few minutes and go back to his b.s. real estate business.
Someone would have to run the country from the capital building.
