"Obama took us into Afghanistan"

Watching an interview right now on CNN where a Trump spokeswoman just said:
"We weren't even in Afghanistan until Obama took us into Afghanistan".

The CNN interviewer asked her about the comment and she again said:
"What I'm saying is, we weren't in Afghanistan until Obama took us in and it is his war.
Is that not a fact?"

When told it was "W" who took us into Afghanistan, she came back with:
"Well, let's talk about Libya."

Our polite response is, "Have you lost your mind? What the fuck is wrong with you? You know, there's this thing called reading. "

With all due respect, politeness isn't what's needed right now. These people need to be shamed and derided for their grinning ignorance. Period. They need to be embarrassed into either a)learning the facts or b)shutting the fuck up.

But, that's just my less than humble opinion.

The big push for GWB was in Iraq and Afghanistan was kept at a relatively low level of involvement. During the 2008 campaign, President Obama campaigned on the basis that Iraq was the wrong war and that the real war was in Afghanistan which GWB had neglected. After President Obama was inaugurated, the US involvement in Afghanistan escalated while Iraq was quickly phased down.

Bush took us to afghanistan immediatly after 9/11. Remember the battle of tora bora in december 2001 where we could have but did not catch bin laden because of poor execution. President Obama played the hand he was dealt and ultimately caught bin laden years later.

Katrina pearson completely mistated the facts.

Afghanistan was NEVER low level military engagement......Bush had a chance to get bin ladin and passed on it to continue his Afghanistan military engagement. His Iraq military engagement was based on lies fabricated to justify that war. The post 2008 Afghanistan surge was at the behest of the military because Bush's handling of the Afghanistan incursion was such a disaster. Oh, I know, it's all Obamas fault........ Geez....

Part of the agreement was to pull our troops out in 2011. Obama wanted to renegotiate a new agreement, but it failed due to the Iraqis refusing legal protections for our troops.

I thought they kept her away from doing interviews after she claimed that Obama and Clinton are responsible for Khan's death in 2004. There was another person from the Trump campaign confronted with her claims and he said he has no idea why she said that and that they would make sure it wouldn't happen again. And that was just a few days ago...
She has to be one of the dumbest and most ignorant spokespersons for a presidential campaign ever. How do people like her get these kind of jobs? But I guess, just like Trump, she fills knowledge gaps with made up stuff that she is so sure to be true and embarrasses herself on national TV again and again.
I'm glad the interviewer could set the record straight immediately instead of doing a useless correction half an hour later.

Founding ISIS, starting the war with Afghanistan, causing the recession that led to millions of lost jobs--all the fault of Obama's time travel schemes. It also explains how he could fake his birth certificate and birth notice in the newspaper back in 1961.

Why, oh why doesn't Obama use his time machine for good instead of evil? You know, like going back to assassinate baby Hitler . . . or Trump's grandfather.
