GOP (and I'm black). This man is an idiot and that fact that he once led in the primaries, speaks volumes about the GOP. The GOP should rebrand themselves as the Wizard of Oz Party since they are in desperate need of a brain, a heart, and courage.

the Republican party needs to split away from the racist element (like the Dems did in the 60's) and the christian right to build a new coalition.

Several things could end up happening: 1) Moderate republicans run as Independents 2) They ran as Blue Dog Dems or 3) They split and we have a Tea Party um...Party.

I definitely don't think we want more Blue Dog Dems and I can't imagine Republics running as Independents but the sane Republics need to go somewhere because of redistricting we'll end up with lots of gridlock in DC.
