The women who design Ivanka Trumps clothing line dont get paid maternity leave
http://nytlive.nytimes.com/womenintheworld/2016/08/10/the-women-who-design-ivanka-trumps-clothing-line-dont-get-paid-maternity-leave/
Ivanka Trump has made womens issues a central part of her effort to convince Americans to vote for her father, Donald Trump, in the presidential election this fall. At the Republican National Convention last month, she promised that her father would push for policies that would make life easier for working moms, and said that policies that allow women with children to thrive should not be novelties they should be the norm.
But Trump, 34, runs her own fashion line produced by a company that does not offer paid maternity leave to her own employees, like the employees who designed and made the dress she wore on stage at the convention that evening. The company, G-III Apparel Group, allows 12 weeks of unpaid leave, which is what the federal government mandates a company with more than 50 employees must offer new moms.
Its hard enough emotionally to come back to work right after having a baby, a designer who works for another brand at G-III told The Washington Post. But to know youre returning to a company that doesnt value your choice to be a mother makes it harder.

BTW I am a fashion nut but I will not buy Ivanka Trump clothing. Honestly, I think we should boycott the entire group, G-III Apparel, in hopes that they will drop the Ivanka Trump line overall!
