Not really getting this new email bruhaha

I am a measly Director of Engineering in a measly small firm. I get tons of requests from friends and family and acquaintances about someone who they know or who recently graduated and if I could see if they may be a fit for my team. I look at all the resumes I get. Obviously I don't select them all. I reject most of them, and sometimes the good ones that would have got in anyway get thru the interview process and goes thru the same criteria for selection. And when I move jobs, I reach out to my network - my old boss, my friends etc. I am under no illusion that they are obligated to give me a job. This is called Networking, and it allows you to be seen in places where you might not have been seen earlier.

Based on this Chougury's emails - all I see are "requests for favors". there's one about asking Mills/Huma to talk to the Ambassador, but the Ambassador himself has said there was no such conversation. Since when has requests for favors been considered abnormal?

Those who were never voting for her will care...no one else. The email thing is done...the GOP have played it endlessly and it's no longer effective...so obviously a political thing...as for Wiki...sadly they have let the Russians and Assange destroy any credibility they once had.

The very innocence of the "scandals" they raise is beginning to look like proof of Clinton's integrety, IMHO.

That's what this guy did. Gave millions and then asked for a favor.

Of course, I could care less because the money goes to a good cause. But that is why the press is reporting it.

I just think Hillary needs to laugh it off or say the money went to help children in Africa to shut it down.

And the ambassador did not meet with the person. Hillary does not need to do anything...this is all bullshit. And people ask for favors all the time...and no doubt some who contribute to any charity want a favor...what is Hillary or Bill supposed to discover everyone's motivation? I don't think so...unless you can show where any favors were granted by Hillary or by Bill, perhaps we should all not help the right wing by rehashing this.

Ever heard of the civil service? Jobs in the government are not supposed to be.given out as patronages anymore.

That said, any connection to malfeasance seems to be so attenuated as to reveal this as yet another attempt to distract from actual issues.

It was just a request by people they know. There is absolutely no indication or proof of actually doing anything about these requests.

Which is admittedly not that much, given I think it is white noise, HRC's top aides did elevate the requests. Was Hilary complicit? We held Nixon accountable for what his underlings did...

To my mind, another transparent attempt on the right to discredit Hillary's honesty. My god, if the Clintons committed all the things the republicans allege them of, they would make Machiavelli look like a weenie!

family and friend referrals are one of the best recruiting sources.

It's documented in the hr research literature.
