2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDonald Trump's 2nd Amendment Threat against Hillary
is the top of the news tonight. I watched several news programs, and even the local news is featuring his ugly comment as the lead story. Trump has truly stepped over a bright line with this shaded death threat against the woman who will be the next President.
He is finished, folks. Done. Kaput. He will never see the inside of the White House, even as a visitor.

(146,338 posts)Good. Trump is alienating one group after another, just as Rush Limbaugh has done. He will marginalize himself by his own words.

(146,338 posts)Not a single negative comment about my outrage over it. Tons of positive ones, though and multiple shares. We need to make this a feature of our social media posts, immediately.

(38,453 posts)This one comment will be a vote killer for millions of Republicans. This will do it for them, they will not vote, or vote for some other than Trump. He has crossed the line of decency with a .."shaded death threat" Well said..k and r.

(1,438 posts)How many times can this idiot cross the final line? What is the final line?
I don't think we've seen anything yet.
MineralMan
(146,338 posts)but it is true. He will cross it again and again, though. In the end, we may have a historic landslide in November, all due to Donald Trump and the Republican's inability to choose a candidate with any value. The Republicans have chosen a brazen, loutish, ugly man as their candidate. May they choke on Trump.

A GOP Senator.

(146,338 posts)Trump has crossed over the line, and there is no going back.
He will either withdraw, or there will be a historic landslide in November.
The Republicans nominated this cretin. Now, they must deal with their decision. It is a sad, dreary day in American politics, I think.
When a major party nominee violates common decency so often and so violently, that party is to blame for their choice.
GOTV 2016! Make our voices known and clear.
