Stochastic Terrorism: Triggering the shooters.

By G2geek
Monday Jan 10, 2011 · 8:37 PM CST

Stochastic terrorism is the use of mass communications to stir up random lone wolves to carry out violent or terrorist acts that are statistically predictable but individually unpredictable.

This is what occurs when Bin Laden releases a video that stirs random extremists halfway around the globe to commit a bombing or shooting.

This is also the term for what Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity, and others do. And this is what led directly and predictably to a number of cases of ideologically-motivated murder similar to the Tucson shootings.

SNIP

The person who actually plants the bomb or assassinates the public official is not the stochastic terrorist, they are the "missile" set in motion by the stochastic terrorist. The stochastic terrorist is the person who uses mass media as their means of setting those "missiles" in motion.

...politispeak. Mostly meaningless BS - often from both sides. But that absolutely floors me. His supporters are deranged enough to act on that statement - perhaps a very small contingent of them - but it only takes one. He has to know that.

And I don't see how he crawfishes away from this. What else could he have meant? That they could organize a militia in protest? That they could go 2nd Amendment on her SCOTUS picks, and not Hillary herself (...yeah, that's much better)? I don't see how he walks that back.

He just said that assassinating her was a viable option to prevent her from appointing progressive justices. Wow!

has the power to replace a candidate, at least by his interpretation of "Rule 9," and that this kind of action is supported by a model in the Constitution in that a majority of the Cabinet can declare the president mentally or physically unfit and immediately the powers are transferred to the VP. The president can appeal to the House. (Another drama to look forward to some day!)

It's likely that Trump has never submitted himself to a certified professional to be formally diagnosed, so it would have to be overwhelming behavior problems that justified such an enormous action against the will of all those who voted for him--to significant numbers of those very people. Unfortunately, many are doubling down on their support.

Itm, this seems like just another straw on the camel's back of Trump's candidacy, which virtually certainly has already collapsed.

When statements are made on camera in front of thousands of people, anyone with half a brain knows to keep it clean and not go anywhere near anything that could be misconstrued as unethical, immoral or even threatening.

Conversely, we've all said to someone off the cuff, "My ____'s gonna kill me" but it wasn't public, official or on the record.

There is a much higher threshold that a public speaker is required to pass for any public position, be it health administrator, town trustee, or dog catcher.

So for a presidential nominee to suggest, among all the other hostile moves made at his events, that anyone should use second amendment threats, should disqualify him from running.

I hope the DNC calls for just that.

Speaking in Wilmington, Trump said, “If she gets to pick her judges – nothing you can do, folks.”

“Although, the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I dunno.”

“But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”

Trump went on to falsely claim that“Hillary essentially wants to abolish the Second Amendment.”

“If you don’t do what’s the right thing, you’re not going to have a Second Amendment. You’re not going to have much of it left. And you’re not gonna be able to protect yourselves, which you need.”

84. This is the 2nd Time in 3 Weeks That Trump Has Threatened Hillary Clinton’s Life
Tue Aug 9, 2016, 06:50 PM
Aug 2016
After Trump adviser Al Baldasaro told a radio host that Clinton “should be put in the firing line and shot for treason, CNN reported on July 20th, “The US Secret Service is investigating an informal adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign after he called for Hillary Clinton’s execution.”

It is just now August 9th. Donald Trump didn’t distance himself from Baldarsaro. Rather, he praised him. Two days ago, Think Progress reported, “Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has confirmed that his adviser who once called for Hillary Clinton’s execution is still part of the campaign… ‘Al has been so great,’ Trump said. ‘Where’s Al? Where’s my vet?’”

Given the insane hate at Donald Trump’s rallies, as captured by the The New York Times in a chilling video of Trump supporters complied from their time on the trail covering Trump, there is no reason to believe this will be taken as a “joke”. It didn’t get any laughter.

Trump supporters shout things like, “Kill her!” and “Trump that bitch!” on such a regular basis that reporters felt it necessary to document it in compiled footage.
