Trump reading talking points at his event in Portland, ME (condemning Somali refugees)

He is reading off sheets of paper about radical Islamic terrorism and Iran and such.

Very different from his usual style.

Somebody might have talked to him and given him talking points.

Now he is going off about Somali refugees (reading off a piece a paper). Definitely not in his own words.

Edit to add: Continue to read off a piece of paper about Somali refugees and clearly having no idea what he is saying.

Linking Somali refugees coming to Maine with terrorism in Europe (reading).

To return to the US (which he could never actually do) nobody cares what he has to say.

And clearly has no idea what he is saying.

This is so weird to watch him reading off sheets of paper, without a clue.

At a town hall months ago he had pieces of paper with him and the print was very large. HOOG in fact.

I think he wears glasses but it he thinks it will blow his image to wear them at rallies.

Just see him glancing down at sheets of paper.

This is really scary what he is saying.

Wondering who gave him these talking points.

Edit: Going off on the "Lock her Up" chant again.

Now he is reading about Hillary and the email stuff. Someone wrote this up for him.

His last two rallies yesterday were nothing like this. They were the usually talking off the top of his head stuff.

This is him reading words that he can't pronounce off a piece of paper describing things he doesn't know anything about.

Very weird.

Well, looks like all he has left is the Angry Old White Guy vote. Totally lost ever one else. Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch must be planning a major October Surprise to try to save this sorry ass dupe.

It's very obviously not his words. Someone has gotten to him.

Edit to Add: He goes off paper once and a while and does his usual thing, which makes the paper reading so weird.

disaster for the turd. There was a blurb about his kids trying to save what little campaign they have left. This is just a Optic,Trump has to reread every thing or memorize text before speaking,he has major dyslectic issues working against him,and that appears to be the how and why he is such a loose cannon.

I wonder if he is going to return to his original style or keep up with the reading sheets of paper approach.

Probably an unprecedented level for a VP, since Trump doesn't actually know anything about governing (or seem interested in doing so).

That's why I thought it was so striking that he suddenly did it today.

And it seemed like he had not even looked at the pieces of paper before the event.

He appeared to not even really know what he was saying.

One of the more humorous moments was his attempt to say "Uzbek" - which he clearly had no clue what that was.

I remember when he was on that kick, and him having folded pieces of paper he used once in a while.

Admittedly, I try not to see too much of him too often.

The type of Mainers that follow Trump are definitely into making up stories about the Somalis. I think pretending the terrorists are right in their neighborhood makes their boring, little lives a little more interesting. We've had no problems with Somalis though. The people that dislike the Somalis cause way more problems than the Somalis do.
