CNN Guest Compares State of Trump Campaign to ‘Chris Farley’s Final 72 Hours’

Just how bad is the state of the Donald Trump campaign? As bad as the drug-fueled bender that claimed the life of comedian Chris Farley, joked one CNN guest Thursday.

“Over the last few days, I’m not surprised to see people running for the hills,” said Donald Trump supporter and talk show host John Phillips. “The last 72 hours for Donald Trump have been the political equivalent of Chris Farley’s final 72 hours on planet Earth.”

“Look, Rudy Giuliani and newt Gingrich say they’re planning an intervention; sign me up,” he continued. “I’ll bring Dr Drew, the burlap sack and the station wagon, because this guy needs to get back on track.”

Farley died in 1997 after a week-long orgy of drugs, hookers, food, and alcohol that culminated in a fatal cocaine and morphine overdose. His last words were reportedly “Please don’t leave me,” said to a prostitute who was leaving his apartment.

there was one Gonzo journalist who could have given this election the coverage it deserves

others have tried, some heroically, but for HST it would have appeared graceful and effortless

he checked out too soon. 'nuff said.

And it helps no one except the kind of people who think it's OK to mock dead people because they happened to be famous.

Not just to Mr. Farley and his family, but all who struggle with addiction.

Just don't.
