How did Hillary and Kaine do in PA and Ohio? Presumably...

... people that needed persuading didn't come to their rallies. Any evidence of taking bites out of the Republican voters?

I do want to know this, but I also want a Hillary/Kaine presence in DEMOCRATICUnderground.

1. Clinton is happy to avoid competing with Trump's national shitshow right now.

He's going up in flames, and she wants to stay away from it.

There's not much drama right now on the Clinton side, they're just plugging away doing local media and appearances--retail politics.

2. No new polls from either state, so it's hard to say

And harder still to say because Trump's been so spectacularly bad the past few days, it would be hard to know if a potential bump for her in those states is because of her appearances or because people are turning off to Trump one by one.

That said, her rallies are well-attended (Andrea Mitchell, who notoriously loathes Clinton, has been posting pictures showing good crowds) and she's always good when she can speak one-on-one with voters, so I hope they're doing a lot of small events where she can actually chat with people. It's the best way to destroy the "cartoon" that Bill spoke of in his speech. Hard to think of a human being as the epitome of all evil when they're standing in front of you being reasonable and charming.

than trying to draw doubters to one rally and changing their mind.

But if the fence-sitters keep hearing about the Trump dumpster fire, and about Hillary talking about the ways to help rust-belt workers, that builds an ongoing narrative.

5. You don't have rallies to persuade the attendees

The point of holding rallies is twofold:

1. The media coverage of the rallies

2. The opportunity to recruit the attendees for volunteer shifts.

She said they turned away hundreds of people due to occupancy limits at the convention center. The local news had some nice coverage including Mark Cuban calling Trump a jagoff .
