Best analysis of Trump-yells-at-baby question I've read yet

in a public Facebook post by one Amadi Lovelace.

In talking about Trump and the baby, people seem to be focusing on the idea of "who yells at a baby?" And it is kind of in line with our questions about his temperament to frame this as Trump yelling at a baby.

But he didn't yell at a baby. He yelled at a woman who had a baby.

And more importantly, he didn't just yell at her, he gaslighted her, telling her at first that it was OK that her baby was fussing, and then acting like she was nuts for taking him at his word and should have somehow divined magically that he actually wanted her to leave.

This was an example of three horrible things all wrapped up in one. First, Trump's tendency toward doublespeak, saying one thing, meaning the exact opposite and acting like everyone else is bizarre and ignorant for taking his words at face value. Second, the aforementioned gaslighting, which is an always an abuse tactic, full out.

Other than that, we're useless and therefore worthless.

motherhood is the one thing women have that he cannot. It drives him crazy that lowly women can do something he can't.

Sound insane? Sure, but it's becoming clear he is insane.

I know Donald Trump is an egotistical asshole and maybe a sociopath, but what's disturbing to me watching that whole thing unfold is the way the crowd cheers for him to humiliate her. I mean I understand they are racists who hate the president but WTF? Its a young mother with a child who is one of their own. The blindness with which they follow his chaotic personality whims is scary.

Has said he wants to 'beat the shit out of' the parents of a crying baby on a flight he and his family were on. Now keep in mind he has young children too. Don't underestimate the selfishness of human nature.

when it's someone else with a typical and expected aspect of parenting. But, when they are on the receiving end, somehow they expect everyone to understand.

It shouldn't surprise me that forced-birthers actually despise being around small children.

I say yes... I had the chance to go to his event today but I don't believe in self-flagellation in any form and I certainly wouldn't take children...

Nobody can change his messages. It is his believes, even though the RNC is being destroyed. The GN and Republicans stand by, continuing to support this mentally ill clown and see the party go into destruction.
