Is there a date that's a point of no return for trump

Just wondering is there a point in time that trump has to get his act together. It seems like he has been running from one hole to another since he was deemed the Republican Nom. Im not sure of how to phrase the question to Google to see if anything comes up. Any thoughts from any of you geniuses.

3. I hope that point doesn't come until October but I fear it's happening now. We've watched as this

American street vendor has spent months pouring gasoline all over himself. Yesterday, in the midst of a campaign crisis, he lit the match by attacking Republican leaders. If he self immolates now, it will open the door for a fresh and unvetted Kasich to stroll onto center stage. That would not be fair to Hillary IMO.

6. If he voluntarily leaves, I think Trump supporters will adjust. Their stubbornness will abate

because they've known the truth about the guy all along. Even worse, our detestation of this man has been public. The Republicans detestation of this man has been private and pent up. A Trump exit and a Kasich entrance will be absolutely intoxicating to the Republican base every bit as much as it is to us. This won't be the first time that our honesty is thwarted by their dishonesty. Therein lies the whole Democrat-Republican dynamic.

enjoyed the show. Take half of the Trump supporters and add them to the rest of the Republican base that has been depressed for months and you have a potential dynamite mood swing. Add in Kasich and the state of Ohio (my state) and I'm getting pretty apprehensive. This American street vendor is self immolating too soon. If this were October, I'd feel differently.

10. Yeah, but reading the FReak show as Trump base example, they will NOT go Kasich.

The Trump base overlaps but is not the Republican base.

The rabidness of the Trump base and the energy that got them to the primary polls and him the nomination is a rebellion against the GOPe as they call the GOP elite who they feel is represented by Ryan and McConnell. But they call McCain too liberal because he supported some version of amnesty for immigrants. Even Cruz is too liberal (!) because he handed out food care packages to immigrants in Texas.

Even so, you are wisely cautioning against the kind of glee some on DU are expressing at the possibility of an early exit by Don the Con. Too soon and it gives the GOPe time to draft a compromise candidate and there might be a bandwagon effect.

But the T base (Trump / Tea) won't support Kasich in any form at any time. They won't support a hand-picked candidate if he/she is perceived as a GOPe parachutist. I think Pence would likely be elevated as a compromise because Trump picked him and because he has ties to Kochs & donors & would be acceptable to the GOPe, barely.

Beware of being Pencetrated by the Kochs.

Just watched the Morning Joe clips - it's all they talked about. Trump is unfit, Trump is dangerous, Trump is going to destroy the Republican party, Trump is going to get us into nuclear war. Very incendiary language.

What we have here is chaos... a clusterfuck for the GOP. They had 17 candidates and this is the one they selected.

Amazing! Fucking amazing!

We're off script at this time, but I think that the GOP is just plain stuck.

How does one replace a presidential nominee without destroying what little remains of ones political party?

As I said. Clusterfuck!
