"If we have nuclear weapons, why don't we use them?" --Donald Trump

Joe Scarborough revealed that Donald Trump asked this question THREE TIMES during a briefing on international relations with a foreign policy expert a few months ago.

The process for what happens if a president determines they must use nuclear weapons is designed for speed in order to carry out the order as swiftly as possible.

There is no debate when the decision has been made.

you could excuse them for being ignorant and lacking wisdom. However, Trump grew up during the Cold War and MAD, so it's absolutely insane that he thinks this.

It was a briefing on international relations by a Republican Foreign Relations expert in an attempt to educate Trump to prepare him as the presumptive GOP nominee.

It was a foreign relations briefing by a Republican foreign policy expert who was trying to educate the presumptive nominee of the GOP.

But your question does still remain. Apparently, this information was leaked to Scarborough by the expert who gave the briefing.
