We Could See Mass R Defections From Trump Within The Next Week Or Two

It's already started. Today, the trickle became an open faucet. Soon, it will be a raging river.

The reports from insiders that Manafort has given up on Trump, that he is just going through the motions and that Trump's staff is "suicidal" is going to push Rs (who have been hoping that Manafort could reinvent Trump) to save their own political skins without further ado. Manafort was their only hope that Trump's worst instincts could be reined in, and that he could pivot to acting "more presidential." Those hopes have been shattered by today's insider revelations.

There is no replacement campaign manager waiting in the wings to take over from Manafort. What professional in their right mind would accept such a suicide mission?

Let's hope that Team Hillary has a strategy in place to deal with a wide range of contingencies that could arise in the next few days. We are most likely headed into uncharted waters.

We live in interesting times.

A true conservative wing could arise, but their numbers would be diminished. The tea party types will continue to eat their own and self pity themselves into oblivion.

I really don't see how they put this coalition back together again, so the new Koch funded party makes sense even if.it.is impotent.

The GOP is about to split in three parties:

1: The East Coast Establishment
2: The psychotic bible thumping South
3: The libertarian Midwest and West.

Couldn't happen to better fascists.

I know they crap all over America every chance they get, but that's just politics for most of them. They love their country and want to see it continue to exist as a Democracy.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell will ride the Trump train right over the cliff because to them it is all about bringing millions of totally insane Trump voters into the fold.
