(8,012 posts)Manafort downright lied this morning on Meet the Press when he said that the Trump campaign had nothing to do with changing the Republican platform regarding Russia/Crimea/Ukraine (and the lie was identified by David Frum, a Republican).

(3,072 posts)Complexity and abstract concepts don't seem to jive well with Trump. He's a simpleton and would be a nobody if daddy hadn't left him all of his money.

(2,674 posts)Saw on CNN this afternoon, that according to a RNC delegate, who was on the platform committee, that Trump's staff are who got the thing about Ukraine removed. Said the Trump staff outmaneuvered the delegates who wanted it as part of the platform and got enough votes to have it removed.
Then this morning this morning on TV. Manafort denied that the Trump's group had anything to do with it. There is something very rotten going on here. Maybe big money, maybe big deals or maybe big blackmail - maybe all three. whatever it is, Trump can not be trusted to be the President. Telling lies about changing the platform should be setting off fire alarms.
