I too think it's time now to stand behind the candidate that Bernie himself has endorsed. But this FR style blanket stereotyping of the Hollywood limousine liberal that isn't allowed to want social justice for those earning less than they do and that they are insincere about their beliefs is frankly a lot more elitist and ugly.

Sarandon is welcome to be rich and a democrat.
But being rich while spouting lunatic imaginary revolutionary Marxist claptrap makes you a hypocrite.
Only the latter category blames most of society's problems on the existence of wealth inequality of class power. The rest of us realize that rich Americans are citing citizens too and not automatically bad for being rich.
I have nothing against rich liberals. I'm not Sarandon rich myself but I'm very well off. I just don't like hypocrites.
LiberalLovinLug
(14,174 posts)that Sarandon was keen to see Bernie implement, a good portion of it now adopted by Hillary, you believe is quote "lunatic imaginary Revolutionary Marxist claptrap"?

Worthless twit.
Apparently you didn't watch Keith back in the day on MSNBC. He was awesome, like Edward Murrow, the only one with the guts to tell the truth about Bush. And so directly and bluntly. He led the way for the rest... Heroic...got dumped because he was so outspoken. He is a better newsman than most.

One candidate is immeasurably worse than the other. He sees that, and she doesn't.
I'm starting to wonder if she doesn't hold some weird grudge against HRC...or her husband. Something personal, and not political. Maybe she didn't get invited to the "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" sock hop in the WH, and she's resented that since the nineties.

That MSNBC was very much pro-Obama at the time and anti-Hillary. It really bothered me at the time, because I really wanted to see Hillary get it. It's not that I didn't like Obama, I just thought it was her time and it would have been great for him to have been VP. I guess it worked out as it should have, and when Obama got the nomination, I was immediately on board, but I still can't help thinking that it would be great for her to have been Pres, and he'd be running right now, and we would still have him to look forward to, but who knows if it would have worked out that way.

She came to speak to us in Wisconsin, in March. I was glad to have her there, but she kept complaining about how cold it was! Heck, I was there twice in February, by March it was nice! And my friends and I had stood outside for about 4-5 hours by then. That's my impression of her, could not stand Wisconsin in March. Just trotted out to say a few words to the masses, and left.
