I would be over there right now, but with the protestors and the heat, I'm going to be in for the night.

Unless I were a delegate inside, I just could not deal with the heat. I remember EXACTLY what that's like, especially with the humidity.

But I kind of have tears in my eyes watching. I love it here, but I miss home a lot, especially when it's a celebration of Philly, where I grew up and lived for most of my life.

visited family ... went back to the old neighborhood, saw the police arrest two armed men in a parked car 5 feet away (no shots fired, pheww) ... and even caught a Phillies game (lost in extra innings).

Great time!!

I used to get tickets for the Red Sox games every year. I like both teams (but would always root for the Phils!)

We had a great view of the game, and the Philly sky-line sits directly out over center field.

But sadly William Penn was not visible on top of city hall. I hated when they changed that law.

... behind and to the right of home plate. Perfect view of the field, the huge scoreboard in left, with the full city skyline to its right ... and sunset to the left of the scoreboard ... so much nicer than the Vet ever was.
