How do you know they wanted to disrupt? Nothing happened until the door was shut. Now if they had been allowed in AND THEN DISRUPTED, I'd agree with you.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/07/23/superdelegates-clash-begins-at-pre-dnc-rules-meeting/

The smaller space used for today's meeting was carefully guarded, to the disappointment of Sanders supporters. Dozens lined up and failed to get into the room, prompting chants of "open the doors" that security guards could not honor without packing even more people into a standing room-only venue.

could be something nefarious, could be the larger room wasn't available, could be any number of other reasons.

the bigger story is that they're going to cut the number of superdelegates by 2/3, which appears to be a 2/3 victory for Sanders.

I think we've had enough public platform meetings to know how some of the Bernie folks will act when they don't get their way. Maybe they wanted to get some work done instead of having to deal with chants, jeers, and stunts when the losing side loses.
