DNC E-mail Leaks - Which heads should roll?

In my opinion, for starters, the DNC Chair (Debbie Wasserman Schultz), should immediately tender her resignation and have someone else gavel in and gavel out the DNC Convention.

The following staffers should resign immediately or be fired - Luis Miranda (Communications Director), Mark Paustenbach (National Press Secretary and Communications Director), Brad Marshall (DNC Chief Financial Officer), and Amy Dacey (DNC Staffer).

Why?

http://www.snopes.com/2016/07/22/wikileaks-dumps-dnc-emails/

Wikileaks, in my opinion, is using a drip drop approach to stoke more division ahead of this convention, and what better way to resolve this than cleaning house immediately, and swiftly. The major news outlets are going to be writing editorials and think pieces on this all week.

Possibly the most disgusting part of those e-mails is reading that Brad Marshall thought that it would damage Bernie with KY and W VA voters to question his religious beliefs.

Brad Marshall appeared to suggest finding a reporter to highlight Sanders' Jewish heritage and question his faith:

"It might may no difference, but for KY and WVA can we get someone to ask his belief. Does he believe in a God. He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage. I think I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference with my peeps. My Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist.

I hope the DNC improved their security system on their computers. There were two incidents that we know of getting into the system. Not good. That should be the take away of this and make that the priority.

10. That's because this is a Democratic website, and we don't want Trump to become president.

And the purpose of these leaks is to help Trump win.

Brad is hoping Bernie is Jewish because America will not vote for an atheist, as polling confirms this.

17. That's not what he's saying. Further, that exact trope was employed all over the place

including on DU. 'He can't connect with the faith community' and it was framed with Christian reaction to him. The trope reeked of biases and it disgusted me when it was offered up by DUers so seeing it streaming out of the Party itself is not at all acceptable. Everyone knows Bernie is Jewish. That's what Brad is exploiting. That's what is so very ugly.

9. I suspect a disingenuous effort by some to exploit this email ruckus just before the Convention, is

not to sincerely improve the process, but inherently to undermine the nominee, because their particular nominee didn't win.

It is similar to the disingenuous efforts by Dr. Cornell West when he was part of the platform rules committee, who then decided to abstain from voting for it because it didn't contain all the changes he wanted, even though significant changes were incorporated into it, and then to attract more attention by endorsing Jill Stein.

This outrage by some regarding the emails, and at the same time the choice of VP, implies to me the same old stuff being spewed when some were so certain an indictment, which much to their displeasure did not happen, because the FBI did not find anything that merited an indictment.

The facts are this.

Hillary is the Democratic nominee. Tim Kaine is her Vice President.

While there is no evidence that any wrong doing actually done, there will be changes in the coming months to improve things within the DNC rules, and it will be done through the normal processes, not by some group whose actions are dubious at best, and at worst have no intention of supporting the Democratic nominee

15. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Brad Marshall for sure.

The rest, we can debate. But Debbie was in charge when this went down and Brad Marshall's email was beyond the pale.

I would be fine with it just being those two.

But whatever happens, it needs to happen today so that we can go into the convention united.
