Becoming DNC chair does not mean she leaves the Senate. It doesn't even have to last beyond

Outreach and influence. Getting down in the weeds.
The party leader is not the DNC chair when the POTUS is a Dem; they're just a strong right arm. The party leader IS the POTUS when we own the White House.
EW doesn't like that kind of stuff. She doesn't care for money in politics, though she'll raise it and take it because she knows how the game is played.
She's more of a policy type. She's an issues-based actor.
