Must have seen the boys play a dozen times or more over the years, yet never saw Pete destroy a guitar in person. Closest was the Quadrophenia tour in '98 or so, when he played the entire concert on a box guitar, then switched to an electric for "Love Reign O'er Me." At the conclusion, he held it by the neck, raised it high over his head, paused a moment, then brought it down, gently kissed it, laid it on the stage and walked away.
