WMTV:MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A conservative group funded by the Koch brothers that is backing Republican Sen. Ron Johnson has canceled $2.2 million worth of ads it had planned to run to help the incumbent in August and September.
The super PAC Freedom Partners Action Fund had previously run about $2 million worth of ads attacking Democrat Russ Feingold back in May.
Freedom Partners spokesman James Davis said in a statement that the group is "realigning our television advertising strategy to ensure maximum impact across key Senate races."
The news comes a day after the National Republican Senatorial Committee delayed until October $1.3 million in ads it had planned to run in the race.

WI, IL and IN. NC, OH and NH seem 50/50. PA and FL are stubborn but may flip with a good Clinton turnout. MO and AZ are potential outliers.
nb - this is all dependent on Catherine Cortez-Masto holding Reid's seat.

The republican takeover of our state has destroyed so much...Our Movie industry, schools, medical, bathroom rights, clean water, protection for trees & wilderness, I could go on. We had come so far, we need to get some sanity back in our state.

(58,785 posts)2. Wow! The very next day after Johnson defied instruction
to stay home to work on catching up and instead went and embarrassed himself at the convention's hillary-hatefest. Apparently the Kochs think more money won't help. I don't for a minute believe they wouldn't pour more in if it would secure another Senate seat.
The bad news for Johnson comes a day after he spoke in prime time at the Republican National Convention, a late-reversal from his long-held position that he was going to skip the gathering to campaign in Wisconsin. It also comes the day after the National Republican Senatorial Committee said it was delaying until October $1.3 million in ads it originally planned to run over the next two months.

That Russ is looking good to come back to the Senate? I hope that's what this means.
