We Are Officially in Pre-Nazi Germany After Trump Advisor Advocates Shooting Hillary Clinton

http://thedailybanter.com/2016/07/we-are-officially-in-pre-nazi-germany/

It is official: America is now pre-Nazi Germany. This is not hyperbole or a manifestation of Godwin's law -- there is a bonafide fascist movement in America led by a megalomaniac and advised by people who are openly advocating shooting the Democratic nominee for president, Hillary Clinton.
An adviser to Donald Trump on veterans issues and New Hampshire state representative Al Baldasaro stated today that Hillary Clinton should be put in a firing line and "shot for treason". Baldasaro, who is also a Trump delegate, made the comments on the Jeff Kuhner Show. He said:

I’m a veteran that went to Desert Shield, Desert Storm. I’m also a father who sent a son to war, to Iraq, as a Marine Corps helicopter avionics technician. Hillary Clinton to me is the Jane Fonda of the Vietnam. She is a disgrace for the lies that she told those mothers about their children that got killed over there in Benghazi. She dropped the ball on over 400 emails requesting back up security. Something’s wrong there.
This whole thing disgusts me, Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason.

Put aside the fact that Clinton was exonerated from any wrongdoing in Benghazi by a Republican led investigation, and at least 13 other Benghazi type attacks occurred on George W. Bush's watch without any outrage from the Right -- this statement from an official adviser to the Trump campaign has put this election into a league of its own.

Stop and think about it for a minute. We have an advisor to a man who has been nominated to be President by a national party calling for the killing of the presumptive nominee of the other party. Folks, we are in very deep shit here. As Andrew Sullivan wrote:

For Trump is not just a wacky politician of the far right, or a riveting television spectacle, or a Twitter phenom and bizarre working-class hero. He is not just another candidate to be parsed and analyzed by TV pundits in the same breath as all the others. In terms of our liberal democracy and constitutional order, Trump is an extinction-level event. It’s long past time we started treating him as such.
*

Somehow we need to a) make damn sure this monster not only does not get elected, but that he disappears from the national stage forever by losing overwhelmingly and b) we need to hold Hillary to her promises to not pass the TPP and to work to overturn Citizen's United. WE need to take back our government and make it again a "...government of the people, by the people and for the people."

After all, they're saying it on patios and porches, among friends in living rooms, anonymously in forums. All those empty seats at the arena as some Republican stalwarts leave as soon as the important business is finished have to be just a faint reflection of what is happening among viewers in millions of living rooms.

Last night's speakers' agenda was supposed to be jobs. i don't know what CNN is doing, but MSNBC has shown the "lock her up" mob many times today with discussion of how the night was devoted instead of jobs to a full-frontal display of Hillary hate.

Again, good.

Republican, white, male and over 40. If they had their choice, they would prefer a country ruled by a dictator and throw out most of the Constitution, with a few exceptions. Many of them would declare this is a Christian nation, and By GOD, if you are not a Christian, they will make you one, whether you like, or not. As for a wall, they would have it built around the entire nation. Travel overseas? Not likely, unless you work for the US Government. Trump probably envies North Korea and Kim Jong Un for having so much power. Republicans may hate China but probably envy the way they run their country. War? Its a racket, a way to make billions of dollars by evading anyone with great resources. Allies? Who needs them, as I am sure right wingers can probably find ways to hate the people of UK and the rest of Europe. These Republicans are arrogant and untrustworthy, especially in ways of the State. The ruling class, or 1%ers at the top of heap would love Trump, because he can make them rise to the levels of the "Superior class" while the rest of us are either deported, or live in squalid conditions across America. Orwell's nightmare come true!

...we are seeing the last days of the Republican party as a coherent entity. After Trump spectacularly crashes and burns, along with not taking back the Senate and losing seats in the House, despite their best gerrymandering efforts, the last of the corporatists will abandon them. They have pretty much squeezed their last dollar out of the evangelical crowd, and are left now with a hodge podge of cranky billionaires, white supremacists and radio talk show conspiracists.

But I could be wrong, of course..

These people are far more informed, well-educated, overfed and pampered, by comparison. There is almost nothing about that history, that life that should not have informed anyone about how destructive and hate-filled it was.

It inoculated us for many years. People who birthed our parents friggin' hung people for playing out what the swindler is suggesting. We knew it was wrong as a nation. But now we have grown a new crowd that has, instead, chosen to be informed by that horror. So despite all we have, and our experience, all the accomplishments of this nation, our learning, - here we are.

We need to look nowhere else. That's 100% American Beef, baby.

when they use it as a bludgeon in any debate to apparently deem them entitled. They didn't serve then, they did it for personal power.

And I bet he was all for Iraq so he'd better not be on Hillary about that.

Benghazi and emails have been thoroughly investigated and nothing found wrong and he's still using it.

"The receptivity of the great masses is very limited,
their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous.
In consequence of these facts,
all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.
As soon as you sacrifice the slogan and try to be many-sided,
the effect will piddle away,
for the crowd can neither digest nor retain the material offered."
("Adolf Hitler: quote on propaganda&quot

Trump has mastered the 'slogan' for the 'great masses' and his crowd can 'neither digest nor retain other material offered....'

Like Trump said, 'I could shoot someone in the middle of times square and they would still vote for me....'

Absolutely...

What many often forget, however, is that Hitler was not only a coldblooded tyrant but that he was also a brilliant persuader of men. He personally oversaw the deaths of millions of people, including the near extermination of the Jewish race while maintaining the full support of the German people.
The entire German population was certainly not as heartless and cruel as Hitler was, so it stands to reason that Hitler must have been a masterful propagandist in order to persuade the Germans that his policies were necessary and just.
