Manafort was in full throated denial mode THIS MORNING to Chris Cuomo
Note the paragraph beginning "Yesterday," as in the day before THIS MORNING.

(21,849 posts)Is Trump making employees of his for-profit corporations work for the campaign? If so, how is this noted on his FEC forms?

(14,565 posts)I can see where what she said happened, and honestly that Melania would not be attuned to the implications of having that in the speech unsourced. I can see where their half assed campaign did not have someone knowledgeable or attentive enough to pick up on on it.
Of course she is going to be deferential the trumps, she is likes them, as she noted. At the same time, for a con, she showed a slight pulse of humanity in saying she felt terrible for the chaos is caused to not just them, but also Michelle Obama.
Of course, the reflexive response by cons to one of their fucksups is frantically trying to deny it and screaming how mean the media is, how liberals did it, how liberals are to fault.
But, I find this to be a genuine and, in this day and age, refreshing admission and acceptance of responsibility.

(11,631 posts)Melania gave her direct quotes from Michelle Obama over the phone and she put them in the speech then Melania didn't recognize them when rehearsing this speech for 6 weeks? WTF? I wonder how much Trump paid her to take the fall. There is nothing genuine about this the real surprise is it took them 2 days to think up some bullshit to try and get everyone off the hook.
