2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWTF? Trump just took a helicopter ride for under a mile from his plane.
The stadium where his chopper landed is literally next door to the airport where his plane landed.
Oh, and Michelle Trump was conspicously absent in greeting him.
Is there anything this man does that is not some sort of colossally sick joke?

(15,222 posts)Wow, he has his own helicopter! Wow, he has his own plane! Wow, he has a gold chair to sit on! Wow, he has a former underwear model for his wife!
And the list goes on, and on, and on.
Sorry for the rant. But I'm really disgusted by two things right now:
One, being the Republican politicians who know that Trump is an idiot but don't have the guts to come out and say so, and who have sold their very souls to be on Trump's good side without ANY regard to what he is going to do to my country!
Two, being the ordinary citizens of this great country who have become so enamored with a reality television star, that they don't understand that reality tv is a different thing entirely than running the United States of America. Trump's supporters are worshiping his sorry ass. That's pathetic IMHO.

(47,501 posts)I don't agree with most republicans about much of anything, but I really thought more of them would stand their ground when it came to this fool. There really are some things more important than a political career. Clearly the vast majority of them have absolutely no integrity at all and in the end those precious careers could be permanently damaged. Some stench just never washes off.

(15,222 posts)During the primaries, I remember saying to myself, "After the other candidates have said such horrible, hateful things about Trump, how are they ever going to reconcile voting for him?" But they are too worried about being on the "wrong" side and 90% of them have endorsed him and are licking his boots.
I've witnessed basically the same thing in my own circle of friends. There were some that started out as "never Trump", and slowly but surely, they've decided he's not so bad. Particularly, not as bad as that horrible female who has all that experience, has a level head, and actually has some policies! They won't go against their "crowd" of people, even when the choice is clear.
It just makes me sick. Particularly today for some reason. My apologies for venting so much today.

After all, his first wife, Ivana, claimed that he raped her for merely sending him to her cosmetic surgeon and he didn't like the hair plugs.
We haven't seen her in public since Monday. Who knows if she's waiting for swelling and bruises to subside.
Please note I don't like either of them but I wouldn't wish for Trump to beat her ass for trying to appease his ego.

Yes, I am fully aware of all of the psychological implications of spousal abuse, but Melania Trump is not in the same situation as most women are who endure spousal abuse.
