2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAre any of your Republican friends watching the convention?
I have a few Republican friends, and they are either not watching or maybe they are watching in horror and not commenting but I haven't heard a peep from any of them. Every comment I have seen is from Democrats.
No republican friends....

(27,813 posts)I don't seek out Republicans as friends but there are people from my high school or co-workers I have met over the years who are Republican and my larger point is that they don't seem to be watching.

also still believes he was born in Kenya,
were at the gym tonite. I couldn't resist tweaking one of them and said: "How come you aren't at home watching your friends on TV?"
She said; " I couldn't stand it. The money they spent could have fed all the hungry in the country."
These are vey kind women who do lots of community service, above and beyond, yet they harbor these crazy beliefs that they get from RW media, and yet even they couldn't watch.
I'm just dumbfounded.

(90,714 posts)I've mentioned before that all this talk about rounding people up or refusing entrance to some others struck a deep deep nerve in him as the son of Holocaust survivors.
I have Mormon relatives too, tho I'm not in touch with them. Was interested to read that The Donald is in bad odor with Mormons for the same reasons I cited above. The Mormons have their own history of persecution in America.
