True Story : My Father once met Donald Trump

True Story.

My father once met Donald Trump in the 1980's.

He and his sister were drinking coffee in the lounge of Manhattan's Trump Tower when Donald Trump walked by. He asked them if they liked his building, and proceeded to talk - on and on and on for quite a long while -about its many great features.

"Likable but loud", was my father's sense.

I imagine the subtext of their rather one-sided conversation was "pay attention to me."

comment wasn't about your aunt in the least; just about Trump. I know that men can come on to women who aren't indicating any interest at all.

oh the stories.

they all thought he was nuts, and also an easy mark. i suspect that was before he discovered stiffing everyone as a way of life.

at one closing, after over paying greatly for a property, and a protracted mess of a deal, he came to the closing, bringing sushi for about a thousand people to the law office where about 50 people worked.
