Paul Manafort Blames Hillary Clinton for Melania Trump Speech Plagiarism Allegation

Melania Trump used “common words and values” in her prime-time Republican National Convention speech Monday night, said Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort on Tuesday, blaming Hillary Clinton for alleging her remarks were plagiarized from First Lady Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention address.

Mr. Manafort said on CNN that allegations that presumptive nominee Donald Trump’s wife, a Slovenian-born former model, spoke words lifted from Mrs. Obama are “absurd.”

“There’s no cribbing of Michelle Obama’s speech. These were common words and values, that she cares about her family, things like that,” said Mr. Manafort. “I mean, she was speaking in front of 35 million people last night. She knew that. To think that she would be cribbing Michelle Obama’s words is crazy.”

He added, “This is once again an example of when a woman threatens Hillary Clinton, how she seeks out to demean her and take her down.”

I'm wondering why he didn't come out and say "witchcraft," because there's no other explanation. Real or imagined.
Plausible or not.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is slated to speak Tuesday at the convention, said the similarities in the speeches aren’t a cause for concern when “93% of the speech is completely different from Michelle Obama’s speech.”

Heh. 93% huh. Your sure it wasn't 95% or 90%?

“The worst day of a convention is the first day, because everyone’s building up to it, and everybody gets breathless, both the delegates and the media, about something to cover and controversy to talk about,” Mr. Christie said Tuesday morning on NBC. “I think after tonight, we won’t be talking about this.”

Heh again. Just like we aren't talking bridgegate anymore? And I bet, even as you speak, you have your speech writers going over your speech with a fine toothed comb, Crispy.
