Last night, the crooked Trumps STOLE from Michelle Obama. "Plagiarize" is a big word for the po-dunk, "seems to have borrowed" is far too nice...Melania Trump, who just earlier told Matt Lauer that she wrote her speech with 'as little help as possible' straight up STOLE from Michelle Obama.

Please do not allow your frenemies to frame this any other way.

The TRUTH has showed up, and we have them flat footed. The broken record technique is *fabulously* successful. Do NOT let them frame this as a gaffe, or any other thing. This was THEFT, plain and simple.

Remember when the Tea Party straight up called themselves tea baggers? When they found out what it meant, they demanded something else, and the Left gave it to them. I say, they made their bed, let them lie in it.

Melania Trump is a thief, and Don the Con wasn't even smart enough to stop it.

CBS. On CBS, I actually heard him say that Melania "knew what she was doing..." Knew that she was doing what? Stealing? Lying? What? I predict his ass will be gone by the end of the week. Or Melania's will. MSNBC is reporting that Melania is very disillusioned and pissed off at the Trump spawn for foisting Pence onto Donald.

18. Morning Joe just did a side-by-side comparison of the two speeches, and it was

verbatim. It was stunning, actually. And Manafort is trying to pshaw it away by spewing stupidities like "those are common words" yadda yadda yadda. He he really messed up, however, when, on CBS This Morning, he put the blame squarely on Melania--"She knew what she was doing." Knew just what, exactly, Manafort? If Trump has to choose between Melania or Manafort, I wonder which one he'll choose?

She probably studied the speech carefully, even used it as a template. I do that sometimes she I am doing a new project. But how do you actually make the nearly identical speech? And how does the campaign not vet the speech, knowing that she is completely inexperienced at this kind of thing. It boggles the mind....

Be interesting to see what Trump has to say. He does not seem like a kind or forgiving man when it comes to his wives.

But if you're going to have a call to arms, let's look at the big picture, here.

Melania stole a couple of platitudes from Michelle Obama's speech from years back, yes. But also last night a congressman (Steven King R-IA) said on TV that whites have done more for civilization than non-whites. A soap opera actor called the president a muslim. Two different speakers railed against "illegals." The opening prayer referred to Clinton and and Democrats as "the enemy."

The coverage of the speech is sensational, watch-the-birdie kind of stuff for the news cycle, and what we really need to call out is the amazingly overt racism, sexism, homophobia on display last night. That needs to be the real call to arms. Forget the fluff, forget the distractions. The -real things- the people are saying up on that stage are disastrous. They are emboldening racists and fascists throughout the USA, and it's unconscionable that the media is letting them get away with it.
