Those two ain't worth a trumpence

Someone observed here the other day that this pair sounds like ye olde English money.

So I thought we should start using it that way. Hey, I don't think the Republican nominees for P/VP ain't worth a trumpence. It's not nearly as evocative as santorum, but still . . .

Those two don't have a trumpence chance to win the election.

You know what my dad used to say, Don't take any wooden trumpence.

You ain't worth a trumpence in a snowstorm. (I don't have a clue what I mean.)

Which I believe is an alloy of 50% bullshit, 25% rotten pumpkin and 25% barbershop floor sweepings.
