Did Trump tell Pence he was his pick so that he would remove his name from the ballot? (Original Post) LiberalFighter Jul 2016 OP
Why would he do that - what would be in it for him? The Velveteen Ocelot Jul 2016 #1
Like you, I thought this was nonsense, until a little voice in my head said, Pence endorsed Ted Cruz FSogol Jul 2016 #13
A very half-hearted endorsement, during which Pence said he had nothing againt Trump. Ken Burch Jul 2016 #14
That would probably be cause for the RNC to toss him off the ballot. nt MADem Jul 2016 #2

You might see the anti-Trump people put Pence in nomination against him, as payback. n/t. Ken Burch Jul 2016 #15

Trump doesn't do anything unless it benefits him. There's no reason for him to punk Pence.

Doesn't sound like something Trump would try to screw Pence out of his existing job over.

Promised it to Pence. You can't guess
what's in the mind of a syphilitic psycopath.
This is a game.
It won't even be Pence.
Rump could care less about the French.

IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT HIM.

Trump only cares how a terrorist attack affects his poll numbers, and that's it. The man isn't capable of empathy.

where Pence absolutely refused to do anything with/for Trump, and instead endorsed Cruz? Could be a revenge thing.

I will pop some popcorn, sit back, and watch the fireworks. I guarantee the convention will be beyond crazy if this happens.

I'd be uneasy if I was Pence since the announcement is being moved back given how much Trump changes his mind.

For those that don't know, the deadline for Pence to remove himself from the ballot in the Indiana Governor's race is tomorrow at Noon.

Pence has to make up his mind not knowing if Trump will still pick him. It has to be on his mind that is a possibility.
